Motoring Press Agency (MPA) was founded in 1984 by Jonathan Gill and Jeremy Clarkson to supply motoring editorial to regional newspapers. After Clarkson left for TV, MPA teamed up with Deborah Tee and expanded into a full-service media, print, marketing, and PR powerhouse with over 50 employees.
In 2008, Gill and Tee reunited to launch MPA Creative, an innovative agency offering tailored PR, marketing, and event management solutions. Known for its extensive network, attention to detail, and a "can-do" attitude, MPA Creative has built a loyal client base and continues to thrive.
MPA is split into four divisions - Creative, Commercial, Events and Promotions – serving clients across motorsport, automotive and tech, with a strong focus on CSR projects across all areas of the business.
The Role
MPA Commercial is hiring a Business Development Executive to join the growing sales and partnership team in our Surrey based office. We are looking for a proactive, organised and enthusiastic sales specialist who is willing to learn whilst on the job. This role would be the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking for a first-time role in sales and marketing. An interest and working knowledge of motorsport would be preferable for the role but not essential.
We are looking for a dynamic go-getter that is willing to adapt to their clients. Whilst this role will primarily sit within the Commercial arm of the business there is also the opportunity to work across the group.
Some responsibilities of the role will include:
* Researching potential customers to shape and build new business
* Growing new business through effective communication methods including cold calling, customer meetings and email marketing
* Working towards your KPI's through developing market understanding, building relationships and networking
* Providing effective account management to support the effective and efficient delivery of all campaigns
* Working closely with the MPA Creative team to develop the best proposals for prospective clients
The Office
Working with a team of experienced and friendly commercial and marketing specialists this role will primarily be office based (one day working from home). Depending on client demands, the role will require weekend working and overseas travel.
You must already have the appropriate visas to live and work in the UK, and the ability to travel and work abroad for events is also essential.
