This exciting new role offers the chance to have a significant impact on the college’s success, driving innovation in how we use data to enhance education and operations. Whether you're an experienced developer or someone with relevant qualifications and a strong desire to build on your skills, we’d love to hear from you.
A key part of this role is to strengthen the already well-established and successful work done in the MIS team by developing a range of new reports and reporting dashboards, as well as supporting the management of our student information and tracking systems.
This role will appeal to someone who has a degree in a technical subject (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, or Web Development) or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL and also have familiarity with Microsoft server management and reporting services (e.g., SQL Server, SSMS, SSRS) or a strong interest in learning these. You might also have some familiarity with data visualisation tools like Microsoft Power BI reports/datasets and workflows, or an interest in developing this expertise.
We recognise that not everyone will meet all criteria immediately. If you don’t meet every requirement but have the motivation and potential to grow into the role, please highlight this in your application. We are looking for someone with the drive, passion and creativity, training and development opportunities will be available to help you succeed.
If you feel you share our values and want to be part of a dedicated and committed team, ensuring that students fulfil their potential, then we would love to hear from you.
A day in our MIS team could see you:
* Develop and maintain a new era of MIS systems, including reporting solutions and dashboards, using tools such as SQL and Power BI.
* Working closely with staff to create accurate, accessible data reports that enhance college effectiveness.
* Supporting and enhancing web-based tools to meet emerging needs.
