Our HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring that we are attracting, developing and retaining highly talented people to meet our school business needs.
Working Hours:
10am – 2pm (20 hours) a week Monday to Friday (Perfect for school runs). Flexible working hours may be accommodated for the right candidate.
Salary:
£40,000 FTE (Actual salary is £21,333).
Line Manager:
School Business Manager (Educate U, Therapy House and Liverpool Gardens) and Assistant Manager (Futures).
Reporting to the Business Manager (Educate U, Therapy House and Liverpool Gardens and Assistant Manager (Futures), our HR Manager will work closely with senior team members and Directors to ensure Educate U is structured, right sized, and skilled to support the delivery of our company aims, goals and values.
Ownership of Educate U’s HR function:
Managing and working closely with the Business Manager and Assistant Manager, you will be accountable for the ownership and ongoing management of Educate U’s and Future’s HR function as part of the company.
Ownership of the People Strategy:
Accountable for developing, agreeing and implementing Educate U’s People Strategy ensuring it is embedded across the organisation.
Ownership of our HR policies and the Employee Handbook:
Accountable for developing, maintaining and managing Educate U’s/Futures HR policies and Employee Handbook:
1. Ensuring they are kept up to date and aligned with all applicable regulations including UK Employment Legislation and UK Data Protection Legislation.
2. Ensuring that the policies are compliant with regulatory standards and legislation and ensuring internal compliance across all business areas.
3. Working with the headteacher to proofread the edits made to HR related policies.
Ownership of all recruitment activities:
Accountable for all recruitment activities including:
1. Role profiles, advertising, CV and candidate screening, interview co-ordination/administration and offer.
2. Managing and delivering onboarding activities for new employees and associates including contracts, compliance with UK legislation relating to rights to work, employment checks, DBS checks, first day arrangements, equipment and induction activities.
Ownership of Educate U’s /Future’s HR Support activities:
Accountable for ensuring appropriate processes and frameworks are in place to support line managers with people-related management and queries including:
1. Provision of specialist support for complex and sensitive people issues e.g. health, performance, grievance etc.
2. Evaluation and administration of flexible working requests.
3. Maintenance of HR Records and the administration of Educate U’s /Future’s HR System.
4. Liaison with Finance, pensions provider and benefits providers for payroll, pensions and benefits administration.
Ownership of individual performance and development plans:
Accountable for ensuring compliance and ongoing management of performance management and staff development including:
1. Management and coordination of the Performance Management in accordance with Educate U’s regular cadence.
2. Ensuring individual’s Performance Management plans are in place and are actively being managed.
3. Ensuring specialist courses are sourced to address learning needs including engagement with third-party providers and delivery of internal knowledge transfer, product upskilling and 'how to’ courses.
Ownership of Educate U’s culture:
Accountable for ensuring Educate U’s culture is embedded across the organisation including interactions with each other and our clients:
1. Clarity, ownership and positive reinforcement of our values, through the people we recruit, the way we work, the way we interact with each other and the processes we adopt.
2. Accountable for ensuring regular employee engagement followed up by the delivery of realistic improvement plans.
3. Ownership of Educate U’s recognition schemes, ad-hoc rewards and service awards.
Continuous Improvement:
Accountable for ensuring Educate U’s HR processes and procedures are defined, implemented and reviewed on an ongoing basis to maximise operational efficiencies across the organisation for all people-related matters.

Pay: £38,568.00-£40,678.00 per year
