About the team The Pearson UK & Ireland Higher Education Sales Team is dedicated to supporting the teaching and learning community across the university sector by introducing and integrating high quality products and services to enrich the experiences of educators and students alike. With a commitment to bringing depth knowledge of pedagogical approaches and how these can be advanced and strengthened by educational technology, the Digital Sales & Solutions Specialist delivers excellent customer service to manage base business, with a clear objective of increasing its value and relevance to courses, departments and faculties across the UK & Ireland region. This role provides the support lecturers need to: - Understand how Pearson digital courseware can complement their teaching strategy - Create a usage plan and identify key goals for use - Set up chosen courseware in line with requirements and goals - Use key functionality throughout delivery as required, to achieve success Location: This roles are territory based and will align to the South region. As the role is field based, you will work between home and university campuses where potential or current customers are based to meet them in person. It is therefore expected that postholders will be based within their team's region. About the role You will play a critical role within the wider team, working in strong collaboration with field sales colleagues to jointly assess routes to growth through adoption of digital courseware, greater usage of digital courseware or an expansion of existing adoption footprints within any department or account. Key responsibilities - Scope and define educator training requirements according to desired learning outcomes and optimum user experience through on-going consultation and engagement meetings early in the sales cycle. - Create, document and execute bespoke training and service plans matched to your institutions defined learning outcomes, agreed training needs and course goals. - Provide technical support as needed throughout term time in conjunction with support teams to deliver optimal customer experience. - Continue to evaluate customer's experience and use of their chosen products through access to data analytics providing usage reports enabling teaching teams to make informed interventions. - Schedule regular touch points with customers, conduct and document regular evaluation meetings to assess performance of chosen digital solution against learning outcomes. - Contribute to the design and delivery of Pearson's internal sales coaching programme, including running face to face and online training for your team. - Identify renewal and at-risk business and suggest plans for up-sell, improvement and increased retention working on a strategy in conjunction with your territory team. - Support territory team, with area strategic planning and on campus activities identified to drive digital courseware adoptions. Will include presentations to management and/or teaching staff as well as students. - Maintain expert level knowledge around the full range of digital courseware and services the business supports. - Record and update all customer interactions in SalesForce, notifying sales team appropriately. - Support pilots and early adopter schemes as required in your territory. - Encourage educators to provide testimonials, case studies, and efficacy studies with support from Marketing / Product teams. - Provide leads for faculty advisor programme. - Network and join relevant online teaching and learning communities in your territory. - Regularly contribute market feedback on request and at arranged Sales, Marketing and Customer Success events. What we are looking for: Sharing goals and accountability for revenue targets, you will manage highly qualified courseware leads to further accelerate business to closed status within the selling season. Managing your time between securing base digital business and participate actively in new business acquisition through coaching and supporting field sales colleagues to assess, target and generate leads of a digital nature and act as closing collaborator when highly qualified leads are generated. This role is not expected to prospect for new business independently, except in case of pan faculty digital opportunities that may become visible and require advanced customer engagement skills (pedagogical applications; integration options; departmental training needs) to develop the lead swiftly.
