Database Manager: They recruited to this role last summer and it didn't work out so it's like there's been a gap for much longer than there has been on this side. Almost like they've been without someone for 5 months. Astrid is the line manager - really strong. Looked at consultancy support and it's too expensive - concern is that they need someone ASAP and will need to move quickly on a recruitment process, want to review on a rolling basis. Manager level - £35,400 salary. Talked about the fact they need to have used Salesforce but don't need to be certified - okay with this, gets that it will limit the pool significantly at this level if they keep that. Understanding of SF is really important - ideally they'll have worked on this platform but if they haven't and they've worked on other systems they'll need to have strong knowledge of how SF works. Database specialist - in the database fixing and making everything work. Day to day - responding to tickets, fixing issues that arise in the database (technical). Can't lead a massive transformational change on the database but could lead small areas of change - they would be making things like APIs and plug ins work. Working with other teams on projects that require making two bits of kit/software work and talk to each other. Fairly straightforward Database Manager role - need to want to get stuck in and know how things work/what the functionalities are. Need applicable knowledge and good instincts. Database team support across the board - this role manages the assistant who does the income reconciliation with the finance team and makes sure they're matching up. Part of the engine room for fundraising - the data team are a really important part of the organisation and crucial to the fundraising team to deliver their jobs.
