This role is open to Jersey residents only, as no relocation is provided for this role
As a business risk management function, this role Is responsible for managing and controlling risk exposure with a specific focus on operational and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) risks. This Is achieved through providing risk related advise, support and guidance as required by the business units and conducting ongoing and retrospective monitoring of all AML related matters and related risks within the business.
To provide first line risk related advice and assurance to stakeholders from all Business Units and corporate functions across Standard Bank Offshore in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies and standards to ensure a culture of quality, control and transparent risk ownership.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. Diploma in Risk Management
2. An Anti-money laundering or compliance qualification would be an advantage
Experience Required
3. Significant experience in risk, governance and compliance management in the financial services industry with a thorough understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and operational risk matters.
4. Previous financial services experience, preferably In a Risk, AML or Compliance related role. • Strong understanding of risk management and operational risk matters.
5. An awareness of Anti-money laundering regulations and requirements.
6. High attention to detail.
7. The ability to review and analyse Information to make risk based decisions whilst balancing efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Good with IT systems.
Additional Information
Key Outputs:
9. Undertake Jersey client reviews (Individual, Corporate and Trust) for all risk categories (Special, High, Medium and Low).
10. Undertake trigger reviews.
11. Conduct ongoing monitoring of client transactions and source of funds as required.
12. Conduct retrospective monitoring of all AML related matters (Including payments, onboarding, transaction monitoring, screening) to ensure that they are performed In line with procedures.
