The Role is predominantly an administration role but in addition to the usual Radiology Administration tasks such as Radiology bookings, administration of the Radiology reporting system and image download service, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to be involved on the clinical side. The role will require applicants to assist in Ultrasound and MRI clinics as chaperone and general assistance for the Radiographers and Radiologists. As an Administrator – Radiology, you will: • Carry out the usual Administration duties related to Radiology and assist in some of the clinical aspects of patient care related to Ultrasound and MRI. To succeed as an Administrator - Radiology, you will: • Have some experience of medical administration or of a clinical role in a Health a care setting. It is not necessary to hold any health care qualifications. • The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the flexibility to work in an administration and clinical environment. • You will need to exhibit efficiency coupled with a caring outlook. • This role will require some variable shifts: early /late and some weekend work. The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
