We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join the team here at Medik8 The Engineering Manager will take the departmental lead at a strategicallyimportant Innovation centrelocated in Aston Clinton, Aylesbury, will be onsite based andreport directly to theHead of Manufacturing. This roles working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm, however flexibility is essentialfor requirements of the role supporting the business. The focus is safety first and as Engineering Manager you will champion and proactivelypromote the safe working ethos amongst your team and contractors. You will lead the preventative maintenance of a manufacturing and logistics site.You will ensure maximum up-time and liaise with logistics and manufacturingmanagers to support their output targets. You will also be responsible for the integration of the TGA/FDA projects within the Innovationcentre facility. Working closely with our projects team to integrate CAPEX investments withinblending and production areas, moving our manufacturing to a more automated and inlineprocess. You will work in a collaborative, high-growth, fast paced environment with constant newchallenges, where you can demonstrate your abilities and thrive both professionally andpersonally. In more detail your role will include: Implementing and overseeing a structured and robust preventative maintenance plan for key manufacturing assets Management of the maintenance team to cover a busy factory and distributioncentre ensuring minimal downtime Collaborating with Manufacturing and Logistics Managers to identifyopportunities for efficiency improvements, you will implement CAPEX projects tosupport the growth of the business Lead IQ OQ PQ equipment validations Developing the team to adopt a continuous improvement approach to problemsolving Oversee stock management, spares control, budget control, and supplierrelations ensuring quality and reliability in materials and services A focus on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvements through bothprocess and machinery improvements. Encouraging innovative thinking toissues and solutions throughout the engineering team Managing assets such as Blending vessels and mixers, filling lines and material handlingequipment, you will ensure maximum up-time and liaise with logistics and manufacturingmanagers to support their output targets Consistently Quality focused, ensuring all regulatory requirements andcompany policies are adhered to and maintaining the highest standard ofproduct quality through manufacturing Ensure proper root cause analysis is carried out for breakdowns and issues withand aim to implement 100 yr fixes What can you bring to the role?
