We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students with autism spectrum conditions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one and group support to students with autism.
2. Assist in the development of social skills, communication, and independence in students.
3. Foster a supportive and understanding environment to help students manage their emotions and behaviour.
4. Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of each student.
5. Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
6. Participate in training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in autism support.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working with children or young people with autism, preferably in a school setting.
2. Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.
3. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of young people.
4. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
