Area to be covered: London & South East
Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 + £10,000 commission + Company Bonus

Role Responsibilities:
1. Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of smart building technologies including building management/automation and lighting controls.
2. Working closely with M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, AV integrators, system integrators, lighting designers, lighting consultants, and end-user consumers to drive sales.
3. Acting as the product champion for these products, supporting the wider specification and project delivery sales teams (5 field sales).
4. Serving as the technical guru for all projects related to building management/automation and lighting controls.
5. Cross-selling wiring accessories after lighting controls have been secured.
6. Initially spending the majority of time on the road with join visits to the field sales team.
7. Once established, generating new specification opportunities.
8. Focusing on the hospitality industry (as well as commercial and high-end residential).
9. Handling typical projects worth £1,000 per hotel room, with projects ranging from 100 rooms to larger hotels.
10. Primarily an account development position due to the client's name and reputation in the market.
11. Replying to RFQs.
12. Providing expert advice on technology and working in tandem with the technical support team.
13. Solving design, functionality, and cost-related challenges.
14. Conducting presentations and providing technical support.
Ideal Applicant:
1. Must have sold smart building technologies such as building management/automation or lighting controls/building controls.
2. Contacts within M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, AV integrators, system integrators, lighting designers, or lighting consultants may be advantageous.
3. Technically excellent.
4. Must have client-facing/field sales experience.
5. Understanding of closed and open protocol systems.
6. Hospitality sector experience may be advantageous.
7. Vibrant, energetic, and full of life.
8. Highly organized and capable.
9. IT literate.
