Job Title: Transport Supervisor (Night Shift)
Location: Brentwood
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (6pm-6am or 7pm-7am)
We are thrilled to be working with a leading logistics provider within the medical sector, offering reliable and efficient transport solutions to ensure vital medical supplies reach their destination on time, every time. We are looking for a dedicated Transport Supervisor to join our team and provide key support to the Transport Manager during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Driver Liaison: Communicate with drivers via phone and WhatsApp to ensure smooth operations, manage bookings, and confirm driver attendance.
Monitoring Movements: Keep track of driver movements and locations in relation to customer deliveries, ensuring timely service.
Customer Communication: Provide regular updates to customers on delivery status and ensure any issues are promptly addressed.
Logistics Administration: Log departure and arrival times, calculate mileage, and track fuel usage for all vehicles.
Route Planning: Assist with planning and optimizing routes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Driver Coordination: Liaise with agency drivers and sub-contractors to ensure sufficient staffing and smooth transport operations.
General Admin: Carry out various administrative tasks to support the transport office and maintain accurate records.What We're Looking For:
Proven experience working within a transport environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers and customers.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a calm and focused approach under pressure.
A proactive attitude, thriving in a busy, fast-paced environment.
A good understanding of driver regulations and compliance is highly desirable.
