Homelessness Support Worker – Level 2 Role Type: PermanentHours: 35 hours Monday – Friday (Some flexible working)Salary: £27,000Location: Bristol Embark on a rewarding journey with a Bristol based Housing Association as a Homelessness Support Worker - Level 2. Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of up to 8 clients, supporting them in a collaborative way that highlights their needs, achievable goals, and how to reach them.
* Build working professional relationships to encourage engagement with internal and external services.
* Support to maintain tenancies and accommodation, ensuring all bills paid, rent collected, and minimising arrears or debt.
* Maximise income through welfare & benefit claims.
* Provide move on support once journey is completed.
Preferred Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in providing support and guidance to individuals and families facing homelessness.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and build trust with clients.
* Proficiency in navigating social services and connecting clients with the resources they need.
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to address complex challenges.
* Commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of marginalized communities.
* Familiarity with local and national policies and initiatives related to homelessness.
