This is a 6 month secondment opportunity to join the specialist midwifery team within the trust with assigned professional leadership acting as the midwifery digital specialist when representing internal and external meetings for University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM).
You will have the ability to establish good team relationships and collaboration within the trust, local maternity systems as well as with external agencies.
You will have ownership and responsibility for co-ordination and collation of data for the trust with colleagues in the maternity senior management team, IT department and external agencies when required.
To work with clinical informatics, business managers and finance to assess the benefits of digital initiatives and local technology projects in order to implement digital change.
You will be responsible for identifying and leading significant service and operational transformation.
To lead on the delivery of the digital maternity transformation programme recommendations and evaluate the maternity electronic patient record systems ability, as an enabler, to drive up patient safety.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day system administration of the Maternity Information System and its development, as required to fulfil the needs of the Maternity service.
You will be the expert for current UHNM maternity IT system and will use their knowledge and their negotiating skills to help improve the service to support safer care.

* Act as a leader within the maternity service, supporting the development and implementation of the maternity record and relevant information management and technology systems.
* Support the implementation and training of staff in the use of the digital maternity record and associated systems across the maternity service.
