Who are we? Integrated Operational Solutions (I0S) Alliance – Part of the Anglian Water network, the IOS was set up in 2015 to concentrate on water recycling solutions and the clean water base. The maintenance and refurbishment of the key infrastructure is managed by our partners Barhale, Kier and Morrisons they ensure everything is maintained and improvements made where necessary to ensure the infrastructures longevity and effectiveness. What will you be doing as Assistant SHEQ Advisor? As an Assistant SHEQ Advisor, you will proactively support a number of projects to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Management systems. You will assist the site teams and managers through your role to minimise risks whilst creating, maintaining, and improving the health, safety, environmental and quality standards. You will champion HSEQ initiatives in the workplace whilst ensuring that legislation is adhered to. Your day to day will include: Providing support to the HSEQ Manager to be able to provide consistent and accurate HSEQ advice Providing support on HSEQ proactive initiatives and assist in delivering dedicated HSEQ campaigns across the IOS framework Supporting on HSEQ issues/problems Supporting the HSEQ Manager with compiling statistics on a monthly basis by reviewing dashboards, interogating Positive Interventions reporting data, Assist to identify trends and provide suggestions for improvement Engaging with the Front Line and act on their feedback Undertaking site inspections and tours with the HSEQ Manager and assist to close any actions arising from the inspections A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours Previous experience in a HSEQ environment or Assistant role Experience within a civil engineering environment Good communicator with presentation and report writing skills Ability to work as a member of a team Able to work to and meet tight deadlines Good communication skills, including professional telephone manner Ability to communicate and liaise with staff and operatives at all levels Proficiency in using Microsoft Office package High standards, e.g. attention to detail Ability to lead by/set a good example A passion for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Ideally hold a NEBOSH general certificate, or equivalent As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to: Personal private health care 25 days annual leave – rising with length of service Access to a company vehicle, tools and all uniform and PPE Competitive pension scheme – Anglian Water matches your contributions up to 6% Bonus scheme Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.
