About the role
The post-holder is part of a customer-facing team of Library Assistants, working at the UCL Language and Speech Science Library. The main purpose of the job is to assist with the provision of excellent customer service and clerical support for library resources, facilities and outreach. The post holder will also support a wide range of activities including the use of technology, social media, maintenance of the estate, and health and safety.
This is an internal secondment role, available to current UCL staff only.
This is a fixed-term role until 17th December in the first instance.
Manual handling is required to carry out this role. Training will be provided.
This is an on-campus role. It is not suitable for regular remote working.

About you
We are looking for candidates who in particular have the following experience and skills: [please include three or four of the most important essential criteria from the person specification]:
1. Experience of working with the public and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
2. Excellent IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications • Initiative and problem-solving; able to resolve problems and to identify solutions, sometimes without immediate supervision
3. Excellent team working skills
This role is part-time, the working hours are 9am – on Wednesdays. The salary for this post is £5, per annum .
