The Opportunity
We are seeking a QC Microbiologist responsible for microbiological testing on finished and intermediate products, raw materials, and the microbiological environment of our facilities and utilities.
All activities are performed according to established procedures, following cGMP and cGLP principles, aligned with the Dechra Quality Management System.
What will you be doing?
This role involves a broad range of responsibilities, including:
* Performing microbiological testing and evaluating results to ensure product quality and environmental standards are met.
* Executing microbiological tests such as dispersion testing using a microscope, and coordinating the preparation and dispatch of samples to external laboratories.
Candidate Profile
We value diversity and welcome candidates from all backgrounds. We're particularly interested in candidates with:
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical GMP quality control laboratory.
* Knowledge of microbiological testing methods such as LAL, membrane filtration, bioburden testing, environmental monitoring, microscopy, Gram staining, and incubation.
* Experience in reporting results and working with laboratory equipment.
* Proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Understanding of environmental, health and safety regulations, GMP, and company policies.
* Knowledge of production methods and applicable procedures.
* A BSc Hons in Microbiology or a related scientific field, or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
Successful candidates will need to complete a basic DBS check, paid for by Dechra, before employment and periodically during employment.
