You will also have the ability to deliver varied, high quality and imaginative sessions and have a record of good achievement rates.You will need to demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity towards a variety of learner needs and support the delivery team with a range of innovative teaching approaches to enable learners to reach their full potential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To deliver lively and interactive teaching, learning and assessment to an outstanding standard on a range of programmes as appropriate.
To secure outstanding success for all learners and ensure targets for recruitment, retention, achievement and success, attendance and progression are met.
To support the design and development of programmes in Engineering, which includes the new technical qualifications (T Levels), and higher technical qualifications at Levels 4 - 5, whilst leading a highly effective teaching team in this area of provision.
To teach on a range of full-time, part-time and apprenticeship programmes at Level 3 including the T Level in Design, Development for Engineering Construction.
To teach on a range of Engineering programmes at Levels 3 – 5.
Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, and developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
Required Skills and Experience:
has a relevant degree in Engineering and equivalent higher technical expertise in this field (Electrical/Electronic / Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering)
Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
Has industry experience, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standard.
Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
