Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer, to join their existing team in Plymouth (mostly remote working, onsite once every couple of months) on a 12 month contract.
The Role
You will join the 'Major Infrastructure Projects' (MIP) Business Unit assisting and supporting the Design Management Team to provide the framework and governance for the engineering team to deliver the project scope. As a Technical Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:
1. Undertake a range of technical administration activities, which may include desk top investigations and field visits to gather information to respond to specific issues.
2. Monitor engineering processes and identify areas where improvement can be made.
3. Assemble and publish routine and ad hoc reports to management, including analysis of performance with commentary.
4. Analyse, interpret and evaluate relevant functional information, concepts and ideas and use these to develop solutions to problems.
