Care Legal Assistant - Public Law (Secretary or Paralegal)
Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Salary: cGBP23k to GBP25k dependent on experience and qualifications
We are seeking an experienced Family Care Legal Assistant to support the busy Family Care team of a very well-established, highly reputable law firm in Nuneaton, in a very friendly, supportive working environment. The role would suit a Care Secretary or a Care Paralegal.
The employer is a progressive and forward-looking law practice with a very friendly, supportive, collaborative working environment. They are committed to providing a high standard of personal service with the support of up-to-date resources and technology within the office. They employ around 50 staff and have Family Advanced Accreditation.
Hours of Work: 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday with an hour's lunch break.
The role will involve:
* Provision of support to the Family Care team, encompassing administrative duties associated with public law care proceedings.
* Typing of legal documents and correspondence.
* Liaising with clients by telephone, e-mail, and face to face.
* Preparation of court bundles and other documents.
* Preparing cases for court.
* Diary Management.
Suitable candidates will have:
* Experience of working in public law family care.
* Experience gained working as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary.
* Experience of dealing with legal aid cases, relating to childcare matters.
* Experience of using the Legal Aid portal.
* Experience of using a legal case management system.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday.
