Overview
Our client is an international freight and logistics company based in West London. They are now looking for a Customer Service Clerk to provide an excellent customer service experience for customers including arranging shipment/deliveries, invoicing and all other functions as required.
Salary: £28,000 to £31,000
The Role
Candidates will be heavily involved with queries on a day to day basis, managing all communication related to work-files, ensuring shipments are not left pending for too long. The role is to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department.
1. Preparing pre-alerts, liaising with customers to prepare work-files
2. Creating work-files for the customs team to complete entries on
3. Keeping origin offices informed regarding any issues on shipments
4. Track and trace all shipments
5. Obtain pins from carriers for haulage
6. Arranging deliveries with hauliers
7. Manage KPI’s for Key accounts
8. Complete delivery checks
9. Complete invoicing on all shipments
10. Passing invoices to account department for payment
