Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care directed by senior nursing staff and GPs.
2. Chronic disease management: Diabetes, Asthma, Hypertension, COPD.
3. New Patient Medicals / NHS Health Checks.
4. Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician.
5. Summarise patient medical records.
6. Adhere to practice policies and protocols.
7. Carry out audits as required.
8. Cervical Cytology.
9. Baby clinic.
10. Routine/Travel/Childhood vaccinations & immunisations.
11. Maintain Confidentiality at all times.
12. Adhere to Health & Safety standards, Safeguarding standards, Equality and Diversity.
13. Maintain and clean equipment used by nurses and GPs.
14. Maintain Infection Control standards by complying with practice protocols.
15. Maintain stock in GP and Nurses rooms and rotating items as required.
16. Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms.
17. Order vaccinations to maintain stock levels.
18. Participate in administrative systems in the Practice.
19. Maintain accurate clinical records.
20. Advise senior nurses of potential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasks.
21. Attend and participate in practice education sessions.
