What you’ll be doing You’ll be supervising the delivery and performance of our grounds maintenance, arboriculture, caretaking and cleaning services in our communal open spaces, playgrounds and blocks. You’ll be managing the delivery of service level agreements and programmes of works whilst ensuring health and safety compliance is paramount. You will be looking to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, maintaining the quality of our green spaces and achieving value for money. You’re likely to see your week is split, part in the community, out and about with the team and part of the role definitely requires you to be available at a laptop for meetings and completing the admin that comes with this role. About you This isn’t likely to be your first time leading a team, you’ll ideally have previous supervisory experience, although this is not essential as you will be supported to learn this element of the role. You will be used to working towards deadlines whilst ensuring a high standard of work is maintained. Your people skills will help you to coach and effectively lead your teams, whilst also working with external suppliers and managing their performance. You will have a good understanding of health and safety legislation, waste disposal legislation and environmental polices and these will be important to you, knowing that they will help to keep our communities safe. You’ll have experience in dealing with customer at all levels, you’ll be naturally professional and competent and will reflect this in your leadership style. The role will take you out and about in our communities, so you’ll require a full UK manual driving licence to use the company vehicle that we’ll provide you with.
