Children's Home Registered Manager (2 bed home)
Location: Barnsley
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent
Full Time: 39 hours per week
Salary: £46,000 per annum with potential to earn up to £51,400 through Ofsted and Occupancy bonuses

We are currently seeking a Children's Home Registered Manager to join our services in Barnsley, overseeing a 2-bed home.
Main Purpose of Job
The Registered Manager holds accountability and overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, promoting the rights of young people, and providing them with quality care in line with organisational policies and procedures.
The manager will lead a team of care workers, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidance to achieve positive outcomes for young people’s physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Service and Practice
* Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations including Ofsted SCIFF, and organisational policies, promoting equal opportunities and safeguarding.
* Ensure adherence to all health & safety legislation, with staff trained accordingly.
* Maintain appropriate records for young people and staff, and implement monitoring and evaluation systems.
* Provide management information, including statistical reports as required.
* Develop and promote innovative childcare techniques and approaches, actively supporting the organisation's well-being.
* Attend, prepare for, and chair various meetings internally and externally.
* Take on-call responsibilities on a rota basis, including sleep-in shifts if needed.
* Write concise, evaluative reports and oversee all written communication to maintain standards.
* Make appropriate decisions when required.
* Oversee admissions and discharges.
* Lead change and innovation aligned with organisational ethos.
* Hold a relevant Diploma Level 5 or equivalent, or be working towards it.
Human Resource Management
* Participate in recruitment, ensuring all checks are completed.
* Ensure staff are properly inducted, supervised, and appraised.

Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays, a £3000 bonus for an outstanding Ofsted report, a full occupancy bonus of £200/month, on-call payments, petrol allowance, and pension scheme participation. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with sleep-in duties as needed.
