We are looking for an enthusiastic Residential Support Worker to join our client’s team in Chesterfield, where you will play a vital role in the lives of residents and help them thrive. As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide care and support to young people, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their personal goals. You will create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment that promotes emotional and social development. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and group support to young residents, assisting them in daily activities and promoting their independence. Foster positive relationships with residents, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem. Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of each resident. Monitor and record residents' progress, providing feedback to management and collaborating with other professionals involved in their care. Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote social skills, emotional resilience, and personal development. Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents by maintaining a clean and supportive living environment. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care practices. Requirements Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people, ideally in a school or residential setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting young people with diverse needs. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
