We have a very exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Acute Stroke Unit nursing team. The Stroke Unit at UHNM is a regional thrombectomy centre recognised for the treatment that it delivers. It has a strong multi-disciplinary team providing care to Hyper-acute and acute care to people following a stroke.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have good communication skills and should have experience of working in an acute hospital setting ideally within a stroke unit or other neurological setting. We are looking for a committed team player who has high standards and is passionate about improving the patient experience. The Acute Stroke Unit cares for a variety of patients with complex conditions and needs post-stroke and requires specialist skills and knowledge to aid and maximise their recovery. Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year (pro rata)
