In preparation for a Spring 2025 opening of our new Mappin & Webb jewellery house in the vibrant city of Manchester, The Watches of Switzerland Group are seeking to recruit a showroom director.
Located over two floors and over 650 square meters of front of house the showroom will offer an exclusive collection of luxury jewellery brands, enhanced by the provision of a graceful, world class client experience.
Position Overview
The Showroom Director will lead a team offering professional expertise in an elegant setting, one that promotes an accessible luxury jewellery brand experience. As an ambassador for the brand you will be change orientated, have an impressive record of business development and with excellent people skills you will collaborate & build strong relationships.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Establish a client-centric strategy, to ensure the highest level of customer experience is executed at all times.
2. Coaching and support the team, ensuring client experience expectations are always being delivered.
3. Optimise hospitality, to create unique and memorable client interactions.
4. Develop strong and meaningful relationships with clients.
5. Manage, support, and motivate the team.
6. Play an active role on the sales floor to lead the team by example and ensure a welcoming environment in the showroom.
7. Manage an efficient back of house and ensure consistency with established operational procedures.
8. Identify efficiencies and enhance best practices.
9. Ensure compliance with all Watches of Switzerland procedures.
10. Collaborate with the management team to recruit, retain and develop talent.
11. Execute development plans for each employee.
12. Continuously train, coach, and provide qualitative feedback, using reward and recognition to improve team engagement and performance.
Role Requirements/Attributes
13. Significant experience in a Senior Management role – ideally within a premium/luxury brand
14. Experience in managing and developing a high performing team.
15. Passionate about retail and delivering an exceptional client experience.
16. Experience of demonstrating successful business growth.
17. Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
18. Commercially focussed.
