Bramblys Grange is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Medical Administrator to work in the friendly admin team at Bramblys Grange.
We are a thriving & expanding training practice developing our services within Basingstoke. You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of data inputting, administrative duties, and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, the read coding information into patients' clinical records from correspondence from other care service providers and other sources on the practice clinical system, adhering to existing policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for read-coding data on EMIS Web into the patient records. You will be required to scan and input documentation to health records as required. You will regularly answer incoming calls and contact patients to arrange appointments requested by the GP - therefore a good telephone manner is required. Experience of conflict resolution and difficult situations is beneficial and individuals should be able to display empathy and compassion. Strong written, oral and IT skills are essential for this role.

Job responsibilities
1. Accurately read-coding data on EMIS Web into the patient record
2. File and store records as required
3. Photocopy documentation as required
4. Action all incoming emails and mail in a timely manner
5. Scanning of patient documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients' healthcare records
6. Input data into the patients' healthcare records as necessary
7. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller's request appropriately
8. Carry out system searches as requested
9. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
10. Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
11. Maintain effective security of data at all times
12. Provide guidance in troubleshooting when requested
13. Ensure new patient records are received electronically and imported onto the clinical system
14. Process patient access applications and ensure staff have a full understanding of what is required when patients complete an application request.
15. Code results and upload data as required
16. Deal with ambulance requests urgent and non-urgent
17. Manage and update the practice website as required
18. Complete requests via the website dashboard.
19. Manage all inquiries in an effective manner
20. Process referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS)
21. Typing letters, reports and associated documentation as required
22. Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
