Are you an experienced security professional with a passion for driving team performance and ensuring high standards of compliance? We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven Team Leader to lead our team in Derby.
You will play a crucial role in supervising Controllers and Security Officers. You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of visitor service and maintaining safety and integrity across the Exhibition, building, staff, and visitors.
Position Details:
Hazelwood, Derby
1. Pay: £13.10 per hour
2. Weekly Hours: Full time
3. Qualifications: Must have SIA License
4. Transportation: Access to a vehicle or good transport links

Responsibilities
* Ensure all team members report for duty as scheduled, promptly escalating any issues to Duty Managers or the Scheduling Coordinator.
* Provide operational support and act as a point of contact after hours as needed, taking the lead during incidents and ensuring effective management and escalation of emergencies.
* Immediately inform emergency services during major incidents, contact relevant management representatives, and take necessary actions per assignment instructions.
* Respond to incidents in back-of-house areas and manage alarm activations effectively.
* Coordinate daily post rotations, including task assignments and breaks. Holiday and sickness.
* Supervise team conduct, task completion, attitude, and behaviour. Ensure all personnel are briefed, trained to standard, and undergo regular performance assessments.
* Enforce procedures for managing emergency situations involving fire, security, and safety at all times.
* Plan and deliver activities and services to specified standards to meet expectations.
* Empower team members to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), addressing issues through coaching, training, and effective delegation.
* Ensure effective execution of duties such as patrols, CCTV monitoring, and emergency response.
* Conduct annual performance reviews for team members, including deputies, and maintain close liaison with Duty Managers on operational matters.
* Uphold uniform standards and ensure issuance of necessary working equipment like radios.
* Monitor the Gallery for Health & Safety and security issues, escalating concerns appropriately and reporting faults promptly.
* Complete accurate incident and accident reports, maintaining precise event records.
* Conduct interviews for lateness and manage relevant administration to reduce occurrences.
Qualifications
Essential
* Must have right to work in the UK.
* Current SIA License
* Have a 5 year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of employment, self-employment or full-time/part-time education.
* The ability to embody and uphold Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
* Strong communication and written skills.
* Interpersonal skills to negotiate and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
* Adaptability and responsiveness to changing priorities.
* Additional qualifications in Health and Safety, Customer Service, and First Aid are advantageous.
