Description
We are looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant for our Cardiff studio. Hybrid working is available, with core days in our city centre, purpose designed studio.
Part II Architectural Assistants will carry out architectural tasks under the supervision of a project leader, usually as part of a team. They will be expected to have basic technical knowledge and be able to apply this to all stages of project design, but with emphasis on RIBA Stages 0-3. They will have advanced presentation skills, and reasonable skills with technical software such as Revit/AutoCAD.

Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Design
* A good understanding of the design process.
* Ability to translate concept into detail design and understand how to identify and design key construction details.
* Flexibility and openness in approach and willingness to work as a team player.
Delivery
* Ability to produce CAD drawings efficiently.
* Consistency and Accuracy.
* Commitment to implementing GFA Management Systems.
* An understanding how to detail for compliance requirements e.g. building regulations.
* Working knowledge of UK Building Systems, Regulations and construction types.
* Working knowledge of town planning procedures.
Skills
* High level of CAD skills, preferably Revit.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications.
* Good presentation skills, both verbally and visually using software and hand drawing skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret instructions.
* Ability to work within a team effectively and deliver tight deadlines on time and on budget.
* Ability to cope with change e.g. to brief, programme or role.
* Ability to liaise and co-ordinate other disciplines/team members.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision.
* Ability to balance work and continuous professional development/educational requirements.
