The Role: Stores Quality Assistant
To help deliver security of Supply Chain through participation in best practices throughout the Loan & Consignment Kit operations for our client based in Maldon. The key focus of the role is to service surgical kits for future provision to hospitals for patients undergoing operating procedures. This role is based within a stores environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Implant Kits: Check quantities, assess damage, complete documentation, and ERP transactions.
Instrument Kits: Check for missing instruments, assess damage, follow quality control checklists.
Kit Maintenance: Replenish implants, replace damaged/missing instruments, update ERP database.
Demonstration Kits: Build and maintain kits, replace damaged/missing instruments.
SOPs and PPE: Follow SOPs and use PPE for handling bio-hazardous goods.
Scheduling: Coordinate with Supervisor for timely processing and dispatch.
ERP Transactions: Ensure accurate and timely ERP transactions.
Kit Construction: Construct and deconstruct kits for UK/US markets.
5S Process: Participate in maintaining and improving company standards.
Training Records: Keep personal training records up to date.
Inventory Checks: Conduct inventory checks as needed.
Customer Service: Assist customer service and respond to inquiries.
Documentation: Adhere to company documentation requirements.
Quality Issues: Log complaints, returns, non-compliances, and work with Quality Assurance on resolutions.
Continuous Improvement: Review and improve business controls and processes.
Quality Assurance:
Log complaints, returns, non-compliances, and liaise with Quality Assurance.
Strict adherence to Quality Assurance procedures.
Support team members during peak periods.
The Ideal Candidate
Practical, in-depth experience of material / batch control
Goods In and / or Despatch within a busy manufacturing or supply chain environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to problem solving
Strong knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods
Ideally proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and inventory management software
Excellent numerical skills
The Package
£25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience
Future progression and training provided
Monday to Friday 8:15am – 4:45pm 1 hour lunch
