ABM are currently recruiting a Full Time Permanent HVAC Engineer for an immediate start in East Belfast.
Purpose:
To play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, contributing to the overall functionality and safety of our clients' facilities. As a HVAC Engineer at ABM, you will ensure the safety and reliability of mechanical installations within our client's vast manufacturing facility. Your work will help protect both employees and assets in the event of an emergency.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
* Perform routine checks on system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimise efficiency.
* Ensure statutory compliance to all relevant standards and regulations.
* Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions.
* Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC systems.
* Perform regular maintenance checks on water coolers.
* Monitor the performance of water coolers and proactively address any potential issues.
* Prepare detailed commissioning and service reports.
* Assist with larger multi-disciplinary projects.
* Observe and comply with ABM and client’s health and safety policies.
* Identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency in HVAC systems.
* Maintain accurate records of all HVAC systems.
* Liaise with other staff and sub-contractors as necessary.
* Ensure exceptional technical service is provided to customers.
* Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations.
* Identify hazards or improvements on-site and report to the facilities helpdesk.
* Support any customer initiatives which could lead to longer-term benefits.
* Any other ad-hoc duties as reasonably requested by a member of the Management Team.
Skills and Experience:
* Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
* 4 years+ proven experience in a similar role post qualification.
* In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, regulations, and safety standards.
* Technical knowledge of AC / VRF and Fan Coil Systems, Chillers & Air Handling Units.
* MEWP Licence.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team.
* Clean UK Driving Licence.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (HVAC/Refrigeration).
* F-Gas Qualified.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Technical knowledge of AC / VRF and Fan Coil Systems.
* MEWP Licence Required.
* 4 years+ proven experience in a similar role post qualification.
