The post holder will join the clinical team and will contribute to the delivery and organisation of the newborn service. The post is for 6 months initially starting as soon as possible, with possibility of further extension. Some neonatal experience at ST1-3 level is desirable. The post would be located within the Women's and Children's Department which opened in December 2004 in the new 1100 bed University Hospital, Coventry. The purpose-built Neonatal Unit has a capacity of 8 Intensive Care cots, 8 High Dependency cots and 20 Special Care and Transitional care beds. The unit is one of the designated network neonatal intensive care units for the West Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network and provides 3500 Level 1 and 2 and 5500 Level 3 cot days per year.
