Trinity Academy Leeds is a brand-new secondary school situated in the east of the city. TAL is a school that sets the highest of standards for student behaviour and achievement in addition to championing its staff and supporting them to develop and grow. We are now in our second year and have already proved to be a popular choice for local families. Joining TAL is joining a professional community of passionate and collaborative individuals who share a strong vision to support disadvantaged students and all young people to thrive.
We are now seeking a Cover Supervisor to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff to enhance the development and education of students. This role would suit a highly motivated, positive, and flexible individual who is considering a teaching career in P.E. or a related subject in the future. You may already be employed as a Cover Supervisor or be a qualified teacher looking for further experience in schools or you may be seeking a new challenge with a willingness to learn new skills.
At TAL, sport is a key pillar, and we are passionate about encouraging all students to enjoy, compete, learn and grow through it. We have an extensive and thriving extra-curricular programme and regularly compete and win at a regional and national level in a range of sports. Our students love sport and also value their education across all the curriculum. This role would involve covering lessons for absent teachers across a range of subjects with an additional opportunity to regularly teach/support P.E classes and to deliver co-curricular sporting opportunities and to create and lead key teams. We would provide you with full training and the opportunity to take relevant CPD courses. As a growing school, there are valuable opportunities for development and promotion in the future. We strongly advise you to come for a tour of our school and to meet the team!
What can we offer you?
* Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders and a large pastoral team
* A first class behaviour for learning system
* Excellent teaching resources
* Career progression and cross-trust working
* An excellent CPD package for all staff
* A range of staff benefits including access to the West Yorkshire Pension fund, health scheme and cycle to work scheme
What are we looking for?
* 5 or more GCSE’s (or equivalent) at C or better, including English and Maths
* Experience of teaching or relevant learning environments, covering groups or whole classes (students 11-16)
* Experience of assessing student progress and contributing to assessment processes
You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.
