Radiographic Level 3 NDT Technician Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Billingham & Middlesbrough We’re looking for an experienced Radiographic Level 3 NDT Technician to join our manufacturing team and take a lead role across two local sites — Billingham and Middlesbrough. About the Role: As a key figure in our NDT operations, you will: Lead and oversee a team of Radiographers and a Radiographic Supervisor across both sites. Evaluate new project opportunities during the quotation phase, assessing feasibility and NDT requirements. Develop, validate, and implement NDT procedures aligned with project specifications and industry standards. Ensure radiographic inspection of production welds meets internal and customer acceptance criteria. Review and sign off formal radiographic weld reports with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Provide technical mentorship to Level 2 Liquid Penetrant Technicians, promoting best practices and safety. Work cross-functionally with Business Units, Quality, and Technical teams to troubleshoot material integrity concerns. Ensure all work adheres to regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Take part in audits and site inspections to validate procedural compliance. Stay up to date with industry developments to enhance NDT performance and capabilities. About You: To succeed in this role, you will need: PCN Level III certification in Radiography (Weldments only). At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Level II Radiographer. A solid background in a range of NDT methods. Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills. A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards.
