Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of global raw material suppliers, including order book control, capacity planning, and supplier performance.
* Lead RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes to ensure competitive bids and supply security.
* Support supplier consolidation and improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve delivery (OTIF) and quality (RFT).
* Handle purchasing tasks via MRP: creating POs, rescheduling, cancellations, and spot buys.
* Develop and maintain KPIs for projects and processes.
* Support and back up the Subcontract Buyer (Subcon), including raising and expediting orders.
* Negotiate pricing and manage long-term agreements with suppliers.
* Lead export/import processes and act as the company’s go-to expert on this.
* Drive continuous cost improvements and stock reduction strategies.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Previous supply chain experience
* CIPS qualified
* Strong written and spoken English
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Strong planning, organisation, and attention to detail
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Able to work independently and in a team
* Professional and commercially minded
