The Role / Who we are looking for:
As a Lead Business Analyst at Kerv Digital, reporting to the Head of BA, you will guide the development of our business analysis practice, balancing leadership, strategic vision, and operational execution. You’ll mentor a sub-set of Business Analysts, ensure high standards, and foster continuous improvement. Your role includes shaping the strategic direction of the function, in-line with other Lead BAs and Head of BA, building stakeholder relationships, and overseeing governance across projects. You will also lead workshops, manage requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery, driving both the growth of the team and the success of our projects.
Skills & Experience:
1. Leadership & Mentoring: Lead and mentor a sub-set of Business Analysts, providing guidance and supporting their career development. Ensure high standards of work and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
2. Strategic Vision & Thought Leadership: Shape the business analysis function and contribute to the strategic direction of the organization, aligning it with broader business objectives.
3. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with high-level stakeholders, both internally and externally. Ensure client requirements are understood, challenged, and turned into valuable business outcomes.
4. Oversight & Governance: Ensure governance of business analysis activities across multiple projects, maintaining quality control and adherence to best practices. Oversee the delivery of work as well as direct execution.
5. Workshop Facilitation: Lead and facilitate discovery workshops with clients, ensuring the accommodation of divergent views and differing priorities while shaping a unified approach.
6. Presales & Business Development: Lead business analysis input in pre-sales bids, shaping strategies that enhance client engagement and solution alignment.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Ensure close collaboration between BAs, Functional Consultants, Architects, and Delivery Managers, driving alignment across departments.
8. Subject Matter Expertise: Be a champion of customer requirements and business needs, ensuring they are reflected in project outcomes.
9. Requirements Management: Ensure requirements are logically converted into user stories and properly prioritized within the backlog, guiding the BA team through the process.
10. Process Re-engineering: Identify and support process re-engineering opportunities that drive operational efficiency for clients.
11. Continuous Improvement & Learning: Foster a culture of continuous learning within the BA team by leading initiatives that implement feedback mechanisms to refine methodologies and outputs, while ensuring the team and stakeholders stay updated with best practices and the latest industry trends.
12. Resource Management: Manage the BA resources efficiently, ensuring alignment with project and business constraints.
13. Documentation Oversight: Oversee the creation of clear, effective documentation, ensuring consistency and alignment with business goals.
14. Timeline & Deliverable Oversight: Ensure BA specific project timelines and deliverables are met, monitoring progress and guiding the team as needed.
15. Interviewing: Lead the interview process for BAs, ensuring a good fit in BA skills and Kerv culture.
