The Role:
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Salary: £80-£100 per day, depending on experience
Location: Waltham Forest, East London
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individual support to a pupil, ensuring they feel safe and included in the classroom.
2. Use structured learning strategies, visual aids, and sensory techniques to engage the pupil.
3. Assist with behaviour management, promoting positive interactions and emotional regulation.
4. Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to implement personalised learning plans.
5. Monitor progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role.
2. A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with ASD or other SEN needs.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
4. A passion for working with children and a commitment to inclusive education.
5. Experience with PECS, Makaton, or other SEN strategies is beneficial but not essential.
