Person Specification: RMN qualification with an active UK NMC PIN. Previous experience within a Ward Nurse Manager or similar managerial role. Strong knowledge of CQC regulations. Proven experience in managing, motivating, and recruiting staff. Understanding of staff induction, supervision, and appraisal processes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Main Duties: Lead and manage the ward team, ensuring clinical and managerial standards are upheld. Conduct staff supervisions, annual appraisals, and personal development plans. Resolve patient, family, and carer concerns to maintain high levels of satisfaction. Organize and lead monthly ward meetings, ensuring team communication is clear and effective. Recruit, manage, and retain staff in line with service values and performance goals. Oversee duty rotas, ensuring adequate staffing and skill mix for patient care needs. Monitor and achieve key performance indicators related to quality, safety, and resources. Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and proactively report incidents or trends. Participate in the hospital's on-call system and handle out-of-hours responsibilities as needed.
