Are you a Service Engineer, or an aspiring Service Engineer, looking to take the next step in your career by joining a successful and rapidly growing global company? Are you passionate about Ecological Transformation and making a change to the planet?
If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering best-in-class quality service. You will provide on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offer after-sales technical support. You will be expected to go on the 'On Call Rota' for weekend/out-of-hours work once fully trained.
Some responsibilities of a Service Engineer include:
1. Observing and enforcing the Company’s and client’s Health & Safety policies.
2. Presenting a professional image to customers through various communication methods.
3. Maintaining good working relationships with customers, ensuring punctuality and courtesy.
4. Reporting progress or delays to the Service Manager in a timely manner.
5. Completing and submitting risk assessments, work reports, and other documentation promptly.
6. Completing site tasks and activities as required.
7. Identifying opportunities to improve the client's system and providing quotations for parts and upgrades.
8. Liaising with the sales team on potential leads.
9. Providing feedback on future product development.
10. Updating your line manager on any issues that may impact the Company.
11. Carrying out commissioning work on standard equipment.
General requirements for the role:
1. Ideal but not essential - NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar.
2. GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
3. A full UK driving licence is required.
4. Experience with the water industry is an advantage but not essential.
5. Knowledge of the Healthcare and Scientific market is desirable.
6. Experience as a Service Engineer or in a Technical Support role is an advantage but not essential.
7. Passionate about providing first-class service to customers.
8. Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find resolutions.
9. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
10. Demonstrable experience of building strong working relationships.
11. A professional approach to work and communication.
12. Good level of IT competency.
13. Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
14. Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
