Manpower is excited to announce an opportunity for a Design Engineer on behalf of one of our esteemed clients. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about engineering and thrives in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver precise and high-quality design work in accordance with client specifications and project timelines.
2. Offer technical support to various teams, including sales, production, and testing, to enhance product development and implementation.
3. Develop initial concept designs based on specific client needs or project requirements.
4. Produce comprehensive circuit diagrams and detailed Bills of Materials for projects.
5. Create 3D models, general arrangement drawings, and detailed fabrication drawings as needed.
General Responsibilities
1. Aid in the development of system designs, including detailed hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
2. Use Solidworks to generate accurate models and detailed fabrication drawings, including component and machine designs.
3. Be involved in the selection of appropriate equipment and components for projects.
4. Manage multiple custom-engineered systems projects efficiently.
5. Ensure strict compliance with Engineering Change Management processes.
6. Collaborate with purchasing departments and suppliers to guarantee timely equipment delivery and project alignment.
7. Adhere to all relevant QHSE policies and legislation, ensuring designs meet international standards and guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications
1. Minimum of an HND in Mechanical Engineering or completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship.
2. Demonstrated ability to understand complex requirements and specifications.
3. Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic equipment design and construction.
4. Strong ability to work both independently and within a team, managing multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
5. Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills, with a high level of interpersonal ability for cross-departmental collaboration.
6. Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD, with a high standard of computer literacy overall.
7. A customer-service-oriented approach, with occasional willingness to travel.
8. A full, clean driving licence is required.
