The role:
This senior back-office role requires a hands on approach to ensure that all validation, reporting, budgeting and auditing teams provides services to our business clients on time and to specification. This requires a firm understanding of the people, processes, systems and the utility data ensuring that they efficiently and seamlessly work together to ensuring a smooth management of their client’s energy and water portfolios.
Responsibilities:
* Have experience in analysing energy data, billing or accounts-based work
* Ideally worked for a utility supplier, brokerage or consultancy
* Demonstrate success of managing a small team
* Be highly organised, efficient and process driven
* Be a good problem solver with strong numeracy and analytical skills
* Be good at working to deadlines
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office - especially strong Excel skills are essential and will be assessed
What are we looking for?
* You will be confident, organised, and technically competent, with significant experience in the energy industry, particularly in team leadership, billing, and validation.
* A strong understanding of utility bills (gas, electricity, and water) and associated terminologies and considerations is essential.
* Ideally, you have experience analysing and reporting on energy data and costs, using methods and systems to communicate insights efficiently and effectively.
* Knowledge of energy billing influences, their potential effects, and resolutions would be advantageous.
* You will work with a sophisticated energy data management platform, ensuring its continual development aligns with best practices, excellent customer service, and market leadership.
* Your work will be measured through operational KPIs & SLAs, ensuring client deadlines are met.
* You will be responsible for managing teams, including planning and allocating workloads, managing absences, and reporting on performance through KPIs.
* A people-focused approach is essential, with the ability to communicate effectively and transfer knowledge between internal and external stakeholders.
