Our client, a leading competitor in the Finance industry, is looking for an Audit Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a professional and hardworking team that takes pride in the quality of their services.
Key Performance Areas:
* Deliver excellent service to clients, particularly in the NFP sector, on a cost-effective and timely basis.
* Respond to client and third-party inquiries (e.g., HMRC) promptly.
* Progress the role and others by taking on more advanced work from partners, delegating routine tasks to others to promote cost-effectiveness and team development.
* Develop a thorough understanding of clients and their businesses to become the main point of contact for day-to-day matters.
* Review and finalize audit files, accounts, and corporation tax work prepared by junior staff, focusing on deepening the team’s knowledge of NFP.
* Complete staff performance appraisals, providing both positive and constructive feedback, and ensuring training needs are met.
* Identify business opportunities and support partners with value-added services such as business planning, advisory, and audit-related tasks.
* Assist partners in managing work in progress (WIP), ensuring work is completed and billed promptly.
* Monitor progress against deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks, including Companies House filings, group reporting, P11Ds, tax returns, etc.
* Ensure work is planned and executed efficiently, liaising with partners and overseeing staff to meet cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and quality standards.
Requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of audit and accounts preparation, particularly in the NFP sector.
* Sound knowledge of corporate taxation.
* Strong understanding of MS Office products.
* Essential: ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent experience.
* Desirable: FCA or FCCA qualification.
* Essential: At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in an audit practice environment.
* At least 3 years of experience managing staff within a practice setting.
* Desirable: Experience working within a larger practice.
* Must live within commuting distance of Banbury.
* Flexibility to work outside of normal hours as needed.
