Job Description: The Senior Client Accountant is responsible for the Day-to-Day management of a portfolio of 8 key client developments in Reading as well as line management of a team of 3 Property Manager and/or Assistant Property Managers. Key responsibilities and tasks include: To line manage, oversee and support a team of 3 individuals who report to the Senior Property Manager and who assist in the management of Chaneys managed sites. To carry out development inspections as necessary to ensure Chaneys and Trinity Property Groups responsibilities are met. To effectively manage the relationship with the customer (responding to customer queries, attending meetings, working with customer groups and ensuring complaints are resolved effectively). To liaise with the Accounts department to ensure accurate financial management of the development. Source, appoint and manage competent trade persons to undertake works across the portfolio. To ensure all works undertaken by contractors are of suitable quality and cost effective. To ensure all Health and Safety and Industry legislation is adhered to. To ensure all monthly reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner. To support and deputise for the Head of Estate Management when necessary. To effectively manage ad-hoc projects (such as redecorations) as required. To attend Chaneys office at least two days per week. Qualifications and Skills: Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications: Must have previous experience in a managerial position. Ideally MTPI qualified (or must be willing to work towards). Must have experience in the residential property management sector. A proven track record in customer service. Must have a full UK driving license (maximum 6 points) Must have good negotiation skills and attention to detail. A proven track record of budgeting and account management. An understanding of leasehold property legislation. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
