Our approach to diversity in the workplace, health & wellbeing, sustainability and individuality sets us apart from our competitors and is one of the reasons we are rated Top 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality We are passionate about the industry and always on the lookout for new talent to join us on our journey A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE MEETINGS, EVENTS & RESERVATIONS COORDINATOR AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL BLACKPOOL What you'll be doing Reporting to the Reservations Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following: Communicating with guests by telephone and email Organising and maintaining client details relating to hotel events Diary planning Updating the hotel operational team on final event details Creating and printing event menus, table plans and other ad hoc signage Demonstrating sound knowledge of hotel products and services, pricing and policies Collating data relating to hotel events, including forecasted revenue and other ad hoc reports Managing hotel reservations, prior to guest check-in, ensuring all booking information is accurate. Conducting future hotel reservations booking checks (7 day, 3 day & 1 day checks) WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements To succeed in the role of Meetings, Events & Reservations Coordinator, you will need the following qualities and skills: A 'can-do' approach to guest interaction and service, to ensure our guest's needs are catered for. The ability to multi-task and prioritise workload, which on occasion may well be under pressure Good written and verbal communication skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, (although not essential, previous experience of Event Temple would be a distinct advantage).
