STEM recruitment solutions have a superb opportunity for a Financial Controller to work for their highly acclaimed manufacturing client in the Scottish Borders
You will be a critical part of the management team, looking after the finances of the two sites and supporting driving efficiencies and financial control.
The job encompasses:
* Provide high-level support to the Plant Management Team on administrative and financial matters.
* Ensure accuracy in cost centre accounting, standard costs, and inventory management.
* Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure processes.
* Oversee plant reporting and support business area reporting.
* Manage the plant’s forecast processes and enhance cost data accuracy.
* Identify cost savings opportunities and support cost-effective operations.
* Drive investment analysis, including payback evaluations of completed projects.
* Manage and develop the Accounting Team
* Implement and maintain an efficient internal control framework.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
