Responsibilities:
* Management of a commercial team, 4-5 direct reports
* Contract Negotiation
* Weekly P&L development, liaising with the Commercial and Finance Director to ensure P&L are accurately reported
* Full contract administration of the NEC3 contracts
* Procurement of subcontract resource, materials and equipment
* Cost Value Reconciliations
* Management of AFPs to the client and assessment of AFPs for Subcontractors
* Forecasting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
* General team development and continuous improvement
Key Requirements for this Commercial Manager role:
* 10+ years of experience in a commercial role, ideally a background in Quantity Surveying
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role
* BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* FTTx experience highly desirable, would consider individuals with wider utilities experience
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships upstream (clients) and downstream (subcontractors)
* IT Literacy, Microsoft office suite, MSP Project & Visio
* Team leadership, experience managing and leading commercial teams
* Experience working on NEC3/4 contract suite
* Full valid UK Driving License, travel to client sites may be required
Package offered for this Commercial Manager role:
* Salary up to £80,000 depending on experience
* Hybrid, 2-3 days in the Midlands office
