6 Month Fixed Term Contract We need a Financial Administrator to support our Portfolio Management team in our Wealth Management firm. Career A great opportunity for an individual looking to progress to Assistant Portfolio Manager. You will provide administrative support to our team and learn the job from the ground up. Once you have passed probation we will support you in obtaining CISI level 4 and if you deliver well we will support your career growth. The successful background for applicants will have at least 1 year in an accountancy firm, financial planning first, or carrying out other financial services type administration (we’d also love an ex-apprentice who wants a more dynamic career path). We have a small supportive team backed by a larger nationwide company. About the role Reporting to the Head of Harrogate Office, you will support our Portfolio Managers. We manage client investments and assets with trust a key value in how we work. To be successful you should have intermediate spreadsheet skills (e.g. pivot tables, v:lookups), be personable, and willing to learn. In this role you will assist our management of high net worth clients and build up key skills for a future in our industry. You will be expected to learn to be 1st point of contact for inbound queries to support our clients in their needs Accountabilities Provide administrative support to our Portfolio Managers. Manage payment administration, set up new accounts, prepare client documentation. Produce and dispatch valuations and client packs (training given). Prepare investment review letters and monitor portfolios. Ensure all portfolios are updated and set up correctly. Adhere to all compliance procedures (as a regulated firm we value the ability to execute processes to a high quality with strong attention to detail). Act as a liaison point with other internal departments, ensuring any problems experienced by clients or the PMs are reported, challenged, or alternatively work together to make improvements. Develop skills to handle client queries and build relationships. Skills and Experience 1 years experience working with numbers (e.g. an accounts department or financial firm). Outstanding attention to detail (our clients expect the best). Intermediate spreadsheet skills (Pivot tables, V:lookups) You like dealing with people and will have the opportunity to build a relationship based career. Enjoy working under pressure and delivering to tight timescales. Discreet, confidential, and trustworthy. Enjoy attending our Harrogate office at least 3 times per week. Able to learn and follow processes and work efficiently. You love the idea that if you learn and work hard, you should progress within 2 years of starting this role.
