The Victory programme is based on the Dig Victory campaign of the Second World War where individuals where encouraged to cook nutritious meals and learn to budget and develop life skills. The role of the Victory Programme Co-ordinator is to work with Centre employees & service users in delivering the Programme face to face and in an online environment. The programme supports individuals by empowering them to make positive changes in life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver teaching material for The Victory Programme in a fun and engaging manner both to on-site participants and those participating via internet and associated technologies
2. Demonstrate the cooking process, to teach the purposes of cooking equipment and to demystify the cooking terms
3. Promote the cooking and budgeting sessions as a key life skill and encourage participants to engage working through their personal challenges in a positive and inclusive manner
4. Liaise with the external agencies to foster contact with new participants, facilitate other trainers/agencies to support the delivery of related elements of the programme as appropriate and to actively distribute marketing materials including posters and fliers
5. To recruit participants for the programme to fill each teaching session.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

7. Relevant qualification and experience in food preparation (Food Handling & Hygiene Level 2
8. Experience in a work environment that includes working alongside volunteers
