A leading school in Liverpool is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team.
Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the educational and emotional development of students. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you’ll help deliver tailored learning programs that meet each child’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students with needs such as Autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
* Encouraging Participation: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging students to actively engage in lessons.
* Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions.
* Collaborative Planning: Assist teachers in adapting lesson plans to suit individual learning objectives.
* Progress Monitoring: Track student progress and contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Personal Care Assistance: Support students with personal care needs while encouraging independence wherever possible.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: One year of experience working with children with special educational needs.
* Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
* DBS: Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
* Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
* Empathy and Patience: A caring, understanding approach and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
* Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic school environment.
