Are you an experienced and qualified counsellor who wants to play a key role in our established Bereavement and Family Support team?
Are you someone who can offer an exceptional counselling service to patients, their families/carers and significant others both pre and post bereavement?
Are you motivated to support the team in providing one to one sessions either in person, telephone or online and also facilitating group work as required?
Do you have an interest in service development or enhancing ways in which to support the community?, To provide a counselling service to patients, their families/carers and significant others both pre and post bereavement regardless of cause. The service offers counselling services to those who have a life limiting illness, those who are dying and those who will be or are bereaved.
The successful candidate will be required to support the team in providing one on one sessions and also support the team by facilitating group work as required.
The post is 8 hours per week but can be worked flexibly over the month to meet client need.
Hospice at Homes core service is its skilled team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants who provide exceptional care and support in peoples last year of life and at end of life, also providing additional services such as Lymphoedema, Bereavement and Family Support, Befriending, Occupational Therapy and Complementary Therapy.
We provide individualised care and support to improve quality of life and our end of life care helps facilitate a peaceful and dignified death in the home and support to those who are bereaved.
Our clinical service area covers a mixture of urban and rural communities, a region of approximately 1,500 square miles throughout North and East Cumbria.
